Migration of primitive (parietal) endoderm

Microtubules are organized in the direction of migration in F9 parietal endoderm outgrowth.

Fate of embryonic stem cell-derived  neural stem cells transplanted to the hippocampus using a mouse model of temporal lobe epilepsy

YC5 mouse ES derived neural progenitors (ESNP's) migrate to the upper blade of the dentate gyrus following transplation into the adult mouse brain following seizure .

Transplanted embryonic-derived neural progenitors incorporate BrdU 4 weeks following transplantation into mice subjected to KA-induced status epilepticus.  Grafted cells in the GCL and SGZ (arrowheads) incorporate BrdU (A-D).  Confocal imaging of the same cell in the GCL in A-D illustrate that the cell incorporating BrdU are also expressing GFP (E-G).  Endogenous neurogenesis occurs in the hippocampus contralateral to the transplant (H-J).
